The Republic of Croatia with a land area of 56,542 square kilometers is located along the eastern coast of the Adriatic Sea and in its hinterland. It has 31,067 square kilometers of territorial sea area. Croatia has a 5,835-kilometer-long Adriatic coast with 1,185 islands, cliffs and reefs. The largest Croatian islands are: Krk, Cres, Brac, Hvar, Pag, Korcula, Dugi otok, Mljet, Vis, Rab and Losinj.<\/p>

According to the data of the Census of Population, Households and Dwellings, as of March 31, 2001, there are 4,437,460 inhabitants in the Republic of Croatia. The majority of the population are Croats, and national minorities include Serbs, Muslims, Slovenes, Italians, Hungarians, Czechs, Slovaks and others. The majority of the population is Roman Catholic, and minority religions include Orthodox, Muslim Protestant, and other denominations. In the north of Croatia the climate is continental, in the mountains it is mountainous, and in the Adriatic it is Mediterranean. With an average of 2,600 hours of sunshine a year, the Adriatic coast is one of the sunniest in the Mediterranean, and the sea temperature in summer is from 25 \u00b0 C to 27 \u00b0 C.
In winter, temperatures in Croatia are between -1 \u00b0 C and 5 \u00b0 C in the continental regions, -5 \u00b0 C and 0 \u00b0 C in the mountainous area, and 5 \u00b0 C and 10 \u00b0 C in the coastal areas. In summer, temperatures in continental Croatia are between 22 \u00b0 C and 26 \u00b0 C, in mountainous areas between 15 \u00b0 C and 20 \u00b0 C and between 26 \u00b0 C and 30 \u00b0 C in coastal areas.<\/p>

Croatia is rich in natural resources, navigable rivers rich in fish, plant and many rare animal species, oak forests and thermal springs. The country is of extraordinary beauty, Slavonian granaries, wooded Gorski kotar, picturesque hills of Hrvatsko Zagorje, which makes it very attractive for tourists.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

To enter Croatia, you need to have a valid travel document, and foreign visitors can stay in the country for up to three months and do not have to apply for a visa for that period. Children must be registered in the passport of one of the parents or have their own passport.<\/p>
